Germany coach Joachim Loew used the same lineup that routed Australia for Friday's World Cup match against Serbia.

Loew had said before the game that he might make one change but opted to go with the same 11 that produced a 4-0 win and the one of the best performances of the tournament so far.

Serbia coach Radomir Antic as expected picked Neven Subotic to play for the suspended central defender Aleksandar Lukovic and made two other changes. Milos Ninkovic was a surprise to play for striker Marko Pantelic and Zdravko Kuzmanovic started for Nenad Milijas.

Antic strengthened his midfield by playing Ninkovic and left Nikola Zigic as the only striker.
