German second-division club 1860 Munich has been docked two points for providing inadequate information to the country's football federation in obtaining its operating license.
The federation (DFB) says the punishment is effective immediately and that 1860 Munich will drop one slot to seventh place in the second division. The club will not appeal against the ruling.
Munich's business manager Robert Niemann described the punishment as ''moderate.''
The 36 German clubs in the top two divisions are required to provide detailed financial information to the federation before the start of each season.
