Galavis new lead on 'The Bachelor'

Former United Soccer League player Juan Pablo Galavis has been revealed as the next star of the ABC reality show 'The Bachelor.'
Producers announced the news on Monday night’s edition of 'The Bachelorette' that Galvis would appear as the lead in the 18th series of the companion dating show which will be aired in January next year.
New York-born Galavis signed as an attacking midfielder for the now defunct Miami FC in 2008 after spending several seasons with Venezuelan first division teams, but quit the game a year later when his daughter Camila was born.
Galavis also had a successful college career, and is third in the all-time assists for Roberts Wesleyan College. And if you think you’ve seen him before that’s because Galvis had a short spell as a TV presenter for Miami-based sports show Mega News.
The 32-year-old has already tried to score on the show once before, but despite failing to find love when he was a contestant on 'The Bachelorette' in May he is back for more. Previous winner Ryan Sutter wedded Trista Rehn on live television in 2003.
The winner of the show will receive $250,000. And they say you can't put a price on love:
