The Montpellier skipper, 22, has been linked with a big-money move to Newcastle, where he would join an already-sizeable Gallic contingent at St James' Park. The Magpies board made a strategic decision to tap into the cross-Channel market and it is thought they have targeted Yanga-Mbiwa as their next acquisition. And the defender, who has helped Montpellier challenge Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1, is open to making the switch to England. He told the Daily Mirror: "People live for football in England, and that is what I want to experience. "I'll see what offers I get, but English football is incredible. "There is more physical contact than in France, but I like that - it suits me."
