French sports minister Roselyne Bachelot is disappointed by the way the France football team qualified for next year's World Cup and has urged coach Raymond Domenech to improve.

Bachelot said Thursday on RTL radio that the French team "has to pull itself together" if it wants to perform well at the showcase event in South Africa.
France qualified for the World Cup with a 2-1 win on aggregate over Ireland after former Arsenal striker William Gallas scored a contentious equalizer in extra time.
Bachelot added that the France team was normally better than what it showed on Wednesday night but that "if we continue on this path, this is not going to be fine in South Africa."
