Freiburg midfielder Daniel Caligiuri has signed a four-year contract with Bundesliga rival Wolfsburg from next season.
Caligiuri is the latest Freiburg player to leave the surprise club. Freiburg is fifth in the Bundesliga, with a chance to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League.
But some of its leading players are leaving. Max Kruse is joining Borussia Moenchengladbach, Jan Rosenthal and Johannes Flum are heading to Eintracht Frankfurt, and sports director Dirk Dufner has gone to Hannover.
