Neil Lennon is set to make a new offer for Forster before Celtic head off on their pre-season tour of Australia. Forster spent last season on loan at Parkhead, making 36 SPL appearances and collecting a Scottish Cup winners' medal. The goalkeeper spent the 2009/10 season on loan at Norwich City, and made 38 appearances as the Canaries won the League One title. Forster impressed at Carrow Road and was named the Players' Player of the Year for 2010. Celtic are keen to sign Forster on a permanent basis and have already had a £1.5m bid rejected by the Tyneside club. But they could now face competition from Norwich as boss Paul Lambert looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season. According to the Northern Echo, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, who took over at St James Park in December, wants to take a look at Forster during training before deciding whether to sell the 23-year-old. The paper also reported that Lennon had not given up hope of capturing Forster, with the Hoops' boss saying: "We had a bid for Fraser and it was rejected by Newcastle. We intend to go back on that later."
