ZURICH --

Suspended FIFA member federations Kuwait and Indonesia will have their voting rights assessed next week, two days before the FIFA presidential election.

FIFA says the subject ''Associations not entitled to vote'' is on the agenda for an executive committee meeting on Feb. 24.

It was unclear if executive committee member Sheikh Ahmad of Kuwait will take part in the discussion. His FIFA work has not been affected by Kuwait's suspension.

Sheikh Ahmad is a key backer of presidential candidate Sheikh Salman of Bahrain, but his home federation is currently barred from voting for the Asian confederation president.

FIFA suspended Kuwait and Indonesia last year for breaching rules that prevent government interference in football's independence.

If the voting bans are upheld, the election should have 207 federations eligible to vote.
