Two FIFA executive committee members will face an ethics panel hearing Wednesday after being implicated in bribery allegations involving the vote for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
Nigerian member Amos Adamu told The Associated Press at FIFA headquarters on Monday that his hearing is set for the same day another FIFA official, Reynald Temarii, faces a similar case.
FIFA issued a statement saying it had opened "proceedings" against two members of its executive committee and urged the ethics panel to "act without delay."
FIFA also said it was also investigating other FIFA officials who might have been involved.
