Feyenoord lose again in Holland

Mario Been's side had been seen in some quarters as potential title contenders this term but they have won just five of their 19 games, with the campaign reaching its nadir with the record 10-0 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in October. Elsewhere, Heracles Almelo bounced back from their 5-0 defeat to FC Twente last time out by grinding out a goalless draw at home to AZ Alkmaar. Willem II finally secured their first Eredivisie victory of the season at the expense of Vitesse Arnhem. Rangelo Janga's 26th-minute goal proved enough for the bottom-placed hosts to post a 1-0 win in Tilburg to add to the four draws they collected in the first half of the campaign. Gert Heerkes' side remain rooted to the foot of the standings but moved within three points of second-bottom VVV-Venlo, who host leaders PSV Eindhoven tomorrow. Marvin van der Pluijm plundered an equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time as NAC Breda salvaged a 2-2 draw from their mid-table battle at NEC Nijmegen. Bjorn Vleminckx had earlier put NEC ahead after 39 minutes, with Nemanja Gudelj equalising in the 77th minute. NEC restored their lead through John Goosens, only to be denied by Van der Pluijm's late effort.
