However, Ferguson also insisted Posh were responsible for their own downfall after conceding two "poor" goals to Steve Morison and James Vaughan at London Road. "I'm really pleased with our performance against a good team. It was a very even game until Norwich scored after we lost a bit of concentration," said Ferguson. "In all truth, we conceded two poor goals and we only have ourselves to blame as they were both as a result of giving the ball away in silly areas. "We want to play expansive football and have to accept that any mistakes we make will be punished, especially when coming up against players of the quality of those we faced here. "But aside from one or two moments, I thought we looked very solid. We created chances and put into practice work we have done on formations." Ferguson added: "We've got a great bunch of lads here and it is all about making sure that we'll be ready when we go to Leicester in the first league game on August 18."
