England centre-back Terry was accused last October of racially abusing Ferdinand in a Premier League game before, earlier in July, being cleared by Westminster Magistrates' Court. Terry has since been charged by the Football Association for his alleged behaviour towards Ferdinand, although the Chelsea captain has denied the charge. It has consequently been questioned whether Ferdinand will be fully focused when the new domestic season gets under way on 18th August, but Beard has no doubts. "Anton is looking forward to the season," chief executive Philip Beard told Sky Sports News in an exclusive interview. "We have just come back from our 12-day tour of Asia. Anton was on great form, as was the rest of the squad."
