Mikael Yourassowsky scored in the 61st minute to help Toronto FC win the rain-delayed Canadian Championship with a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday.
Toronto took the Voyageurs Trophy and a spot in 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League play with a 3-2 victory in the two-game, total-goals series. After the MLS rivals played to a 1-1 draw in the opener in Vancouver, the second game May 25 in Toronto was wiped out because of lightning and rain. Vancouver led 1-0 in the 60th minute when play was stopped.
Camilo Sanvezzo scored for Vancouver off a free kick in the first half, and Joao Plata tied it on a second-half penalty. Plata also set up the winner and was selected the tournament MVP.
