FC Copenhagen into Champions League on away goals

FC Copenhagen reached the group stage of the Champions league on the away goals rule after winning 1-0 on Wednesday against Rosenborg.
Solvi Ottesen rose above everyone in the penalty area to head in Claudemir's long throw in the 33rd minute.
The teams were level at 2-2 on aggregate, but Copenhagen advanced because of Jesper Gronkjaer's away goal in the first leg.
It will be Copenhagen's second appearance in the Champions league group stage after a four-year absence.
The victory was no more than Copenhagen deserved, after having 26 attempts on goal in a dominant display. Only poor finishing and bad luck prevented the team from winning the Scandinavian derby more convincingly.
Copenhagen almost paid for its profligacy in front of goal when Rosenborg's Roar Strand hit the bar in the final moments.
The first half started at a frantic pace, with Copenhagen taking the game to Rosenborg. The Danish team had numerous chances to score before Ottesen's goal, but Rosenborg always looked a threat on the break.
Copenhagen right back Zdenek Pospech wasted two good opportunities to score and teammate Martin Vingaard twice hit the post, as the hosts pinned Rosenborg in its own half.
Rade Prica had Rosenborg's best chance, jinking past two defenders before hitting a low shot that goalkeeper Johan Wiland had to be at full stretch to keep out.
The second half was less eventful, with Copenhagen trying to hold on to its slender advantage while also searching for another goal.
Copenhagen dominated in central midfield in the absence of Rosenborg's suspended midfield enforcer, Anthony Annan.
Gronkjaer was the game's outstanding player, the veteran winger creating several opportunities with his speed and trickery.
