Dunfermline supporters group Pars United expect a swift resolution on its offer for the club after being encouraged by talks with administrators.
The fans body is one of two parties who submitted bids for both the club and stadium before Tuesday's deadline and they welcomed "constructive dialogue" with BDO, the company in charge of the club, and KPMG, which is in control of East End Park.
Pars United confirmed Wednesday's meeting of creditors resulted in a vote to continue towards the initial target of hearing a Company Voluntary Arrangement on 12 July and maintain the Club's history.
A statement read: "We would ask all supporters of Dunfermline Athletic to be patient just a little longer as detailed negotiations now commence on the finer details of the bids for both club and ground. We hope to emerge as preferred bidder for both shortly.
"BDO and KPMG have a duty to examine all bids carefully and evaluate them fully. Fortunately both firms have very considerable expertise and we expect rapid progress on both fronts."
Bob Garmory from Pars United added: "It is helpful that we have been working closely with Bryan Jackson and Bob Barclay of BDO, as well as Blair Nimmo and Gary Fraser of KPMG since their appointment.
"We put in £100,000 at short notice in early April to stop the club being liquidated and we now intend to see it all the way through to leaving administration as soon as possible.
"Pars United, as a fans' movement, enjoys widespread support, and we thank everyone who has worked in any way to make this vision come true.
"We have both experience and knowledge in our negotiating team and we are backed by one of Scotland's leading legal firms, DWF Biggart Baillie.
"Our aim is simple. It is to restore the club we love, and put it onto a sound footing for the future."
