Marvin Emnes came off the bench to grab a late winner as Middlesbrough scraped through to the FA Cup fifth round with a 2-1 win at Wolves.
The Teesiders, who slipped into the relegation zone with last week's dismal 3-0 defeat at West Brom, enjoyed a happier return to the Black Country thanks to a deft finish from Afonso Alves on the stroke of half-time and a fortunate late strike from Emnes.
In between, Sam Vokes equalised with a towering header from Dave Edwards' cross.
