Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says captain Cesc Fabregas will be out for two weeks with a hamstring strain sustained in the Champions League defeat by Braga.

The Spain midfielder limped off midway through the second half of the Gunners' 2-0 loss in Portugal on Tuesday.

Wenger said Thursday ''Fabregas will be assessed today with a scan - after that we can tell you how long he will be out but I count two weeks.''

Wenger says he is planning to be more cautious with Fabregas, who has had fitness problems for much of this season.

The Arsenal manager says right back Emmanuel Eboue will be sidelined for ''four weeks minimum'' with a knee injury after being carried off on a stretcher during the Braga match.
