Everton beat Cardiff 2-1 in EPL with late winner

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) Seamus Coleman scored an injury-time winner for Everton as they beat Cardiff 2-1 in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Cardiff looked set to secure a valuable point as they look to avoid relegation, until the defender struck for the home side.
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard denied Fraizer Campbell the opening goal in the first half and the visitors were punished after the interval when youngster Gerard Deulofeu converted at the near post after a surging run into the penalty area.
Cardiff equalized through defender Juan Cala, who converted from close range following substitute Peter Whittingham's free kick.
Everton pressed forward for the winner and was rewarded in the closing stages.
That win lifts the Toffees into sixth place, three points ahead of Manchester United, while Cardiff remain second from bottom.
