Evatt haunted by slip-ups

The beleaguered Seasiders, who are 17th in the table and battling relegation from the top flight, have allowed leads to slip and conceded late goals on numerous occasions this term. And 29-year-old centre-half Evatt says it is difficult to shrug off those setbacks as Ian Holloway's side bid to clinch survival on what is their maiden season in the Premier League. "There are probably nine or 10 'what ifs' when we've conceded goals in the last minutes of games," Evatt said in The Sun. "We should be safe from relegation by now, theoretically. "You always think about whether you could have done something different or better." Despite his disappointment over Pool's slip-ups, Evatt insists he is focused on his side's four remaining games. He added: "The next thing you do is the most important, not the last." Pool, who are only clear of the drop zone on goal difference, host Stoke at Bloomfield Road this weekend as their relegation scrap continues.
