ESPN Star loses Champions League Malaysian rights

UEFA has dropped ESPN Star Sports as its Champions League broadcaster in Malaysia and Brunei.
UEFA says it has sold rights to Astro in a three-season contract from 2012-13 through 2014-15.
The value of the deal, which includes broadcasting the second-tier Europa League, was not disclosed.
UEFA thanked its ''longtime partner'' ESPN Star Sports for a ''valued contribution'' to the Champions League.

UEFA also awarded Champions League rights in Myanmar for the first time, to S Media for the same three seasons.
Rights in the Indian subcontinent were renewed by Ten Sports.
