Notts County's new chief executive says Sven-Goran Eriksson has quit the English fourth-tier club following a takeover.
Jim Rodwell told the BBC on Thursday that the former England coach has ``resigned his position today as director of football.''
Eriksson, former coach of the national teams of England and Mexico, has accepted the role of joint life president but Rodwell expects the Swede to ``move on to bigger and better things.''
Executive chairman Peter Trembling has sold his 90 percent majority shareholding to a new group of investors and is leaving the club immediately. Eriksson joined Notts County in July with the aim of taking the club back to the topflight for the first time since 1991.
