Christian Eriksen's agent admits to being in contact with potential suitors of his client, but claims the talented playmaker intends to remain at Ajax.

The Denmark international is considered to be one of Europe's top creative talents, with two successful years in Amsterdam bringing him to the attention of the continent's biggest clubs.

It is expected to be only a matter of time before he is lured away from Dutch football, with his ability worthy of a grander stage.

Manchester United are known to be long-term admirers of the 20-year-old, with Sir Alex Ferguson keen to bring players of potential into Old Trafford.

Eriksen has, however, been keen to point out in the past that he feels his on-going development would be best served in the Eredivisie.

His representative insists that remains the case, with the youngster in no rush to take on a new challenge.

Martin Schoots told bold.dk: "I can't reveal details about which clubs we are in contact with. I can only say that Christian still wants to stay at Ajax.

"It is obvious that he will leave Ajax one day. Like other good players, it is natural for him to move on, but for the moment it is his intention to stay.

"I can't predict the future and I don't have an estimate for when he will finally leave. As I have already said, the intention is for him to stay at Ajax."
