Luis Suarez scored twice and created another as Ajax routed RKC
Waalwijk 5-1 Sunday to cut FC Twente's lead atop the Dutch league
to four points.
Suarez first provided a cross for Siem de Jong, who headed
Ajax in front after nine minutes. De Jong then returned the favor,
setting up the Ajax captain for the second in the 47th after
Waalwijk had leveled through Marko Pantelic's own goal.
RKC's Frank van Mosselveld also had an own goal in the 65th
before further goals by Suarez and Dennis Rommedahl completed the
rout.
With six rounds to go, FC Twente leads the standings with 71
points after holding rival PSV Eindhoven to a 1-1 draw Saturday.
Ajax moved second with 67 points, one more than PSV.
On Saturday, Heracles Almelo beat NAC Breda 3-0 while FC
Utrecht overpowered Willem II by the same score.
Later Sunday, it's: ADO The Hague vs. VVV-Venlo, FC Groningen
vs. Roda JC and Sparta Rotterdam vs. AZ Alkmaar.
