Elokobi thrilled by shock win

Elokobi and Kevin Doyle got the goals which gave Wolves a 2-1 win over United, ending the visitors' 24-match run without a defeat in the league this season. And the Cameroonian, who also netted in November's match against United in the Carling Cup said: "It's a fantastic win for us "It's a good habit to score against the big boys, it was a great ball from Matt Jarvis." Elokobi and Doyle both claimed the second goal and the defender added: "I've got my goal today, but we'll have a look at it." Wolves had to survive more than five minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game and Elokobi told ESPN: "When we came in at half-time I said to the boys 'We will have to play for 50 minutes because against United you know there will be five minutes injury-time. But everyone dug in and we ended up winning." Doyle said: "We got beaten (at Bolton) the other night, were bottom of league and were very low. "No-one would have held out much hope tonight but to go 1-0 down early on and win shows the spirit we've got." Sir Alex Ferguson had bad news afterwards concerning captain Rio Ferdinand. The central defender pulled out of tonight's contest after injuring a calf in the warm-up and Ferguson believes the England defender will be out for two weeks. Ferguson told ESPN: "He turned his calf in the warm-up and he'll be out for a couple of weeks, I believe." On the defeat, the United manager added: "It's disappointing, it's been a long run for us. "But we didn't get going really in the second half today. They (Wolves) are a handful at set-pieces and they proved that again today. "It was an opportunity for us to continue the great run we've been on, the consistency we have shown in last two months has been terrific."
