Eintracht Frankfurt has fired coach Michael Skibbe and brought in Christoph Daum to replace him.
The club said Tuesday that it had taken the decision in view of ''Eintracht Frankfurt's negative sporting development in recent months.''
Frankfurt so far has had a dismal second half of the season and a 2-1 win against fellow struggler St. Pauli last weekend wasn't enough to save Skibbe's job.
The club is 14th in the 18-team Bundesliga with 31 points from 27 matches.

Daum's recent clubs include FC Cologne and Turkey's Fenerbahce. Frankfurt says he has been appointed until the end of the season for now but both sides aim to work together beyond that.
