Gudjohnsen struggled to break into the Stoke first team after signing a one-year deal in August, and he was sent to the Cottagers on loan in January. The 32-year-old, who will remain with Mark Hughes' side until the end of the season, is enjoying being back in London where he enjoyed a successful spell with Chelsea. "I had been having a difficult time at Stoke, but this club has been a breath of fresh air for me," said Gudjohnsen. "I know it's not a permanent deal, but I'm here to show what I can do. Who knows what will happen in the summer? "I'm 32, physically fit, injury free and hungry to do well. I believe I have still got a lot to give. "The set-up here is fantastic, the training is great and I'm determined to get playing again and help Fulham as much as I can." A late penalty save by Petr Cech on Monday night prevented Fulham from claiming a rare derby win over Chelsea, as well as a sixth straight win and place in the Premier League top 10. However, Andy Johnson insists there were no ill feelings towards Clint Dempsey, Fulham's saviour so often this term, who missed the spot-kick. "The person who took the penalty for us has been fantastic for us this season, so it's just unlucky for him," Johnson told his club's official website. "Clint has 10 goals for us already this season and it was him that won the penalty so it made sense that he was the one to take it. "He's scored them before now and he's been top class for us this season, so he's big enough to pick himself up from this. "Sure, we're disappointed, but they [Chelsea] are a top team and they've spent a lot of money. "So, if you'd asked us before the game, we would have been happy with a point. "It's a great run that we're on at the moment and it was great to keep the unbeaten record going."
