The Seasiders are still looking for a first win on home soil after an agonising 3-2 defeat to Roberto Mancinis's side but Eardley does not want to dwell on that too much. "We've got to look forward now to next week, you can't dwell on performances or results, we've got to re-focus and drive on," the Wales international told the club's official website. "We've proved we can win away from home, we'll go there play our game, attack them and hopefully that will work for us." On the defeat to City, Eardley added: "I thought we did well, the lads feel we deserved more from the game but it wasn't to be so we just have to try and forget about it and move on." "We thought we were the better team in the first-half and there was a spell in the second-half for 20 minutes where we really attacked and DJ missed a chance to put us 1-0 up. "If he'd have put that away then maybe things might have been different but it wasn't to be." Eardley was withdrawn at the interval in the victory over Liverpool two weeks ago and admits to carrying an ankle knock that forced his early exit against City too. He said: "I picked up an injury at Anfield, it was an anterior ligament tear in my ankle that I'd picked up, and I wasn't fit to carry on in the second half again (against City). "I feel as if the last couple of games I've done quite well but I respect what the gaffer decides to do, try and take it on the chin and whenever I get brought off it's disappointing but the gaffer is doing it for a reason and I respect that."
