Nathan Dyer admits Swansea must improve their home form if they are to enjoy continued success in the Premier League.
Only the top four and Newcastle lost fewer games in front of their own fans than the Swans last season but there have been worrying signs at the Liberty Stadium.
Michael Laudrup's men have picked up just two points from three games against Sunderland, Everton and Reading and Dyer knows it is something that needs to be addressed.
"We look at all our home games as chances to pick up points," said the 24-year-old winger as Swansea prepare to host Wigan on Saturday.
"We need to make the Liberty a fortress like we did last year and make it difficult for teams to come here and play.
"We also want to let the big teams know that when they play against us at home then it is going to be a really difficult game and they have to work really hard to get anything out of it."
There were some positives in the way Swansea came from two goals down to earn a point against the Royals last time out, ending a sequence of three straight defeats, and Dyer is optimistic.
"Against Reading we had enough chances to win the game and we'll be looking to get back to winning ways against Wigan," added Dyer.
"It was a hard one to take when they scored two quick goals, because we were dominating the game.
"But we had to fight back and we managed to do that really well and it shows the great character we have in the team.
"We spoke before the game about stopping the run of defeats and we needed to make sure if we couldn't win the game that we didn't end up losing it.
"We are creating lots of chances and that's great for our attacking players as it's a good to know that there are goals on offer."
