Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk stuck with Robin van Persie as his striker to face Germany in their much-awaited European Championship match on Wednesday.
Van Marwijk, who has been criticized for selecting Van Persie as center forward during his team's opening 1-0 loss to Denmark in Group B, left Bundesliga top scorer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on the bench.
The only change for the Netherlands was the inclusion of Joris Mathijsen, who has recovered from injury and replaces Ron Vlaar in central defense.
