Bryan Ruiz and Marko Janko scored two goals each to help FC Twente beat NEC Nijmegen 4-2 and end a two-game losing streak in the Dutch league.
Ruiz powered Twente in front with an individual effort in the 18th before Marko Janko combined with Nacer Chadli for the second.
Ruiz then converted a penalty in the 44th and Janko got his second with a header as Twente joined PSV Eindhoven atop the league standings.
Bas Sibum and Bjorn Vleminckx each scored for NEC.
PSV lost 4-2 at NAC Breda Friday. Ghana forward Matthew Amoah had two goals for NAC and created the other for Leonardo. Ali Boussaboun also scored for NAC while PSV's response came from Jonathan Reis and Balazs Dzsudzsak.
PSV and Twente have 34 points each, four more than FC Groningen. Ajax is at VVV-Venlo Sunday.
Also Saturday, Arnaud Sutchuin Djoum's 40th-minute goal sealed a 1-0 victory for Roda against Groningen, while Kolbeinn Sigthorsson scored in the 90th as AZ Alkmaar salvaged a 2-2 draw against SC Heerenveen. Pontus Wernbloom had given AZ the lead but Heerenveen hit back with goals from Mika Vayrynen and Daryl Janmaat.
Evgeniy Levchenko's 89th-minute goal gave last-place Willem II a 1-1 draw against Excelsior Rotterdam.
