Dunfermline v Celtic preview

Dunfermline have lost Jason Thomson from their squad for the visit of Celtic after the full-back returned to Hearts following his loan spell. But Joe Cardle has recovered from the illness that would have ruled him out of Wednesday's postponed match at Motherwell. Craig Easton and Kevin Rutkiewicz are unlikely to feature as they seek to improve their match fitness, while Paul Gallacher, Austin McCann, Nick Phinn, Steven Bell and Steven McDougall remain absent. Beram Kayal is out of Celtic's trip. The Israel midfielder was carried off on a stretcher in the 1-0 win over Rangers on Wednesday with an ankle injury which was scanned yesterday. Assistant manager Johan Mjallby revealed that they were waiting on results but that Kayal could be out for 10 days at least while new signing Mikael Lustig will not be involved.
