Ex-Eagles skipper Derry helped guide QPR to promotion to the Premier League last term and Freedman has laughed off suggestions of a move for the experienced player. "I know Crystal Palace fans will expect me to bring in some signings but I think they'll also expect me to bring in players that will take the club forward," said Freedman. "In Shaun Derry's case, he's a QPR player. I can't speak highly enough of him as a player and a character but there's no truth in me trying to sign him now." Freedman has already brought Glenn Murray, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Mile Jedinak to south London this summer.
