Borussia Dortmund's Paraguay striker Lucas Barrios will be out for two to three weeks with a thigh injury that he suffered in the Copa America final.
Bundesliga champion Dortmund says Tuesday that the 26-year-old Barrios ruptured muscle fiber in the back of his thigh. Barrios came on as a second-half substitute in Paraguay's 3-0 loss to Uruguay on Sunday.
Dortmund travels to third-division Sandhausen for a first-round German Cup match this weekend and opens the defense of its Bundesliga title at home to Hamburg on Aug. 5.
