Dortmund chief executive brands criticism of Klopp 'embarrassing'

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke believes criticism of head coach Jurgen Klopp has been "embarrassing".
Dortmund have performed well in Europe this season, winning their Champions League group ahead of Arsenal with some blistering performances, but have endured woeful form in the first half of the Bundesliga season and find themselves second-from-bottom at the winter break.
Klopp's position has come under scrutiny this season as a result of his side's dreadful domestic form but Watzke is adamant that he remains the right man for the role.
"There is zero doubt over Klopp's control. We are totally convinced by him," the club chief told Bild.
"A few weeks ago the sky was the limit and now people say his time at the club is over. I think it's embarrassing."
Dortmund have already made a move in the transfer market in a bid to arrest their Bundesliga decline by agreeing a deal to sign Slovenia midfielder Kevin Kampl from Red Bull Salzburg.
Watzke also hinted that there could be more movement in and out of Signal Iduna Park in January.
"I don't rule out any scenario for the next few days. There are no taboos," he added.
