Dortmund and PSG draw 1-1 in Europa League

Substitute Clement Chantome scored late to earn Paris Saint-Germain a 1-1 draw at Bundesliga leader Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday.

Nuri Sahin put Dortmund ahead in the 50th minute from the penalty spot. But Chantome scored in the 87th to give the French club control of Group J. PSG has seven points and Dortmund four.

Paris Saint-Germain always threatened on the break despite Dortmund's greater possession.

Lucas Barrios had the first opportunity of the match after 14 minutes but his flick off a cross from Shinji Kagawa hit the post.

Peguy Luyindula had the first effort for PSG in the 20th but shot straight at Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, who easily caught the ball.

Zoumana Camara's header narrowly missed the target in the 36th and Luyindula had another close effort moments later.

Mamadou Sakho pulled down Jakub Blaszczykowski to give away the penalty and Sahin converted from the spot for Dortmund's lead.

Neven Subotic's header than went close as Dortmund sought to build up its lead, but Robert Lewandowski was forced to clear on the line after another header by Camara.

PSG's equalizer was the work of two substitutes.

Guillaume Hoarau drew a pair of Dortmund defenders and fed the unmarked Chantome, who slotted the ball into the roof of the net.
