The coach and manager of Djurgarden have resigned after threats against the coach this week.
The Stockholm-based team says Magnus Pehrsson was quitting immediately after receiving the threats in connection with the team's 2-0 loss to Elfsborg on Monday.
The team said in a statement on Friday that the threats were made over the telephone and later by a small group of fans during practice.
Pehrsson, who has coached Djurgarden for two years, says the situation became ''untenable'' because of the threats.

Manager Tommy Jacobsson says he decided to follow Pehrsson's example since he considers the threats ''completely unacceptable.'' He says he hopes his and Pehrsson's departures will lead to soul-searching among the team's fans.
