The future of the 30-year-old has come under intense speculation following the departure of Sam Allardyce. His alleged comments to QPR's Jamie Mackie, as he lay in pain on the ground after sustaining his broken leg, only served to add to the sense his departure was imminent. Yet, the former Liverpool record signing has stated he sees his future at Ewood Park, having had a heart-to-heart with his previous boss. "Everybody talks about the fact that if Sam goes somewhere I will join him," Diouf told the News of the World. "But that is not the attitude of a professional and Sam himself wants me to stay here. He wants me to be professional. "He called me after he left and told me not to change my attitude towards the club because of him." He added: "Sam told me everyone in England knew I had been playing the best of my career here. "He told me Sir Alex Ferguson commented that he had never seen me play as well as I have this season. "And Sam is not the type of manager to tell you things for effect."
