Midfielder Abou Diaby has been ruled out of France's 2012 European Championship qualifier against Luxembourg next week.

The French federation said without elaborating that the Arsenal player picked up a muscle injury and is therefore unavailable.

France coach Laurent Blanc called up Lille's Yohan Cabaye as a replacement.

France plays at Luxembourg on March 25 before hosting Croatia four days later in a friendly. France leads Group D with nine points from four matches.
