Di Matteo relieved by late win

West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo could not hide his relief after the Baggies beat Blackpool 3-2 on Saturday to end a five-game losing streak.
West Brom had slipped into trouble on the back of their recent run but their win over Blackpool, sealed by a James Morrison and Peter Odemwingie double, lifts them up to 14th.
Di Matteo said: "For the supporters and neutrals, I guess it was an exciting game. For the two managers, a little bit less!
"We had a lot of desire and you saw the commitment of the players today.
"We were very tired at the end because they gave everything.
"It was a great team effort. It was a fantastic team effort from everyone.
"It wasn't our best game but we knew we needed to get some points and it was great for our confidence and keeps us in the mix."
Odemwingie ended a five-game run without a goal to take his tally for the campaign to eight.
Di Matteo said: "Strikers live off goals and the confidence that comes from goals and he's had a few niggly injuries.
"They have taken a bit of rhythm out of him so we are pleased we got the two goals."
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway, meanwhile, Holloway was full of praise for Albion.
He said: "I felt we had a fantastic spell where they looked a bit nervous but I knew what they could do going forward.
"We had a couple of chances where DJ (Campbell) missed but you have to give them credit.
"They showed great belief in themselves."
