An understrength Denmark drew 0-0 with the Czech Republic in a friendly on Wednesday after missing a first-half penalty.

The Danes were without Nicklas Bendtner, Thomas Sorensen, Daniel Agger and Simon Kjaer due to injury, but still managed to create several scoring chances.

Coach Morten Olsen also left out William Kvist and Martin Vingaard as their team FC Copenhagen is traveling to Russia for a Champions League game against Rubin Kazan.

Denmark midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli's 18th-minute penalty was saved by goalkeeper Petr Cech after Dennis Rommedahl was fouled.

Czech left back Michal Kadlec hit the post in the 81st minute from a free kick, while teammates Jaroslav Plasil, Jan Rezek and Jan Polak also had chances.

The Czechs were without striker Milan Baros, who has been sidelined for several weeks with a muscle injury. Coach Michal Bilek selected Czech league strikers Michal Hubnik and Rezek to replace Baros and make their debuts.

The friendly also marked Denmark midfielder Martin Jorgensen's 100th, and last, international.

The Danes have now played the Czech Republic eight times for three losses, four draws and a solitary win.
