Delap: Potters deserve abuse

After losing just one of 21 home games in all competitions over the first 10 and a half months of this year, boss Tony Pulis' side have since suffered three consecutive defeats in front of their own fans in 25 days. With two of those in the Premier League, and City on a run of four straight defeats in the top flight overall, Stoke are just three points above the relegation zone in 14th. It is the home form, though, that is suddenly of major concern for Delap, which is why he is grateful for the backing of the fans who he knows could easily turn if they desired. "It's quite unbelievable really because they (the supporters) are always there behind us, win, lose or draw," Delap told the club's official website. "Maybe after the recent results they have a right to be out there giving us some abuse because we have underperformed and let them and ourselves down. It's only natural for them to be disappointed."
