Del Neri hails Juventus resolve

Luigi Del Neri hailed Juventus' character after the Bianconeri cemented third place in Serie A with a 3-1 win at Catania on Sunday night.
Leaders AC Milan triumphed 3-0 against Brescia on Saturday while second-placed Lazio were 3-1 winners against champions Inter Milan on Friday night, but Juve's victory kept them in the mix - six points off top spot.
"We had to win to keep up the pace with the teams that won (earlier in the weekend)," Del Neri told the club's website.
"I am not looking at the table at this point, but I am satisfied.
"We deserved this victory in a difficult stadium. At the beginning, Catania attacked well and in the first quarter of an hour we encountered a few difficulties."
Simone Pepe put Juve in front after 35 minutes, but Takayuki Morimoto brought the home side deservedly level a minute later.
Two strikes from Fabio Quagliarella, who also saw a valid goal not given, earned the Old Lady all three points against a Catania side who had dominated the game, but lacked the killer instinct.
Quagliarella said: "It was a year since Catania suffered a home defeat and for us this victory is of great satisfaction.
"This year I am more at the centre of the game and therefore it is easier to score. We are strong in attack and we are still awaiting (the currently injured) Amauri, who will be our January signing."
