Champions League hopefuls Tottenham have been handed a massive
boost with the news that Jermain Defoe has made a successful return
to training.
Defoe has missed his side's last three games with a hamstring
problem picked up in training earlier this month.
The 27-year-old has made a speedy recovery and is in line for
a return for this weekend's clash with Sunderland.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was delighted to have Defoe back in
training as they look to maintain their push for a top four finish.
"It's great news. Jermain trained fully today [Tuesday] and
is in the squad for the weekend," Redknapp told The Sun.
"I'm really pleased. He's a terrific little striker and a
fighter. It's great to have him back so soon."
