Defensor has 1-0 win against Independiente

An own goal from Leandro Gracian gave Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting a 1-0 win against Independiente of Argentina in the first leg of their Copa Sudamericana last 16 tie on Tuesday.
Gracian turned the ball into his own net in the 66th minute to give Defensor a slight advantage ahead of the return leg in Argentina on October 19.
Argentina's Banfield hosts Deportes Tolima of Colombia in another last 16, first leg game on Wednesday. The remaining fixtures in the round of 16 will be played during October.
The Copa Sudamericana is the no. 2 club competition in South
America, after the Copa Libertadores.
