Swedish defender Per Nilsson has joined Nuremberg from Bundesliga rival Hoffenheim on a three-year contract.
Nuremberg said Monday that the two clubs agreed not to disclose details of the 27-year-old player's transfer.
Nilsson said he wants more playing time and sees ``better prospects of that in Nuremberg.''
Nuremberg narrowly avoided relegation from the top division this year. It finished third from bottom and salvaged its top-flight status in a playoff against second-division Augsburg.
