Davis: Confidence is growing

Crewe boss Steve Davis insists he can feel the belief growing in his squad after the Railwaymen fought back to beat Swindon.

Raffaele De Vita headed Town in front but the lead lasted just four minutes, Michael West whipping in a sublime cross for Byron Moore to bundle home at the far post for his first of the season.

Keeper Wes Foderingham was performing heroics in the Swindon goal but he was eventually beaten four minutes before the break by Moore after Chuks Aneke sent him through. The Alex then survived a second half onslaught from Swindon to claim a hard-earned three points.

"Every point in this division is hard-earned but none as much as that," said Davis.

"The fact we fought back to get a result on Saturday and then we have done it again shows the lads have belief and it is growing and it will do their confidence a world of good.

"There were good performances all over the pitch but our back four and goalkeeper were magnificent. Everyone of them could have got man of the match, they were like a brick wall."
