Davies has faith in youngsters

With injuries affecting Trotters manager Owen Coyle's plans for the new campaign, the likes of Joe Riley, Michael O'Halloran, Tom Eaves and Josh Vela have put themselves in contention for a first-team spot, and while accepting their hard work is far from over, Davies feels the youngsters are firmly in the first-team mix. "Five or six of them have been given the chance and they're in amongst it now," he told The Bolton News. "They've earned it and so they will be in there with a shout because I don't think there is anyone guaranteed a place or any set team. "Tom Eaves, Joe Riley, Josh Vela and Michael O'Halloran have all shown they are good players and they've been given a really big opportunity. But they have got to make sure they are doing the right things and that they are ready to take it."
