David Ginola hospitalized after accident

Former English Premier League star David Ginola was recovering Wednesday after being rushed to the hospital following a skiing accident in France.
The Frenchman, a fan favorite at Newcastle and Tottenham because of his flamboyant style, crashed into another skier in the Alpine ski area of Portes du Mont Blanc and broke three ribs, The (London) Daily Telegraph reported.
Local ambulance staff told The Sun that Ginola had also suffered damage to his throat and been left with bruises all over his body. He has reportedly had to cancel several upcoming engagements.
The other skier was not injured.
"David Ginola was with a few other people who alerted the rescue team and he was taken off the mountain in a blood wagon, or paramedic sledge," a resort source told the Telegraph.
"He was then taken to hospital in Sallanches and was discharged [Wednesday] morning.
"The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known. The conditions were perfect."
Ginola, 45, retired from soccer in 2002, having also had stints at Aston Villa and Everton.
