Denmark?s World Cup team moved to South Africa?s southern Cape region on Saturday after losing 1-0 to the host nation in a pre-tournament friendly in Johannesburg earlier in the day.

The Danish squad flew from Johannesburg to George, on South Africa?s Garden Route, and were then ferried by bus to the luxury Simola golf estate in the picturesque tourist town of Knysna, chosen as the team?s base camp for the group stage of the World Cup.

Denmark, ranked 36th in the world, have been in South Africa for a week and trained at altitude in Johannesburg ahead of the friendly match against South Africa. The Danish squad was welcomed at George Airport by Eden District mayor Leon Dorfling.
