Daly eyes historic Gers move

Dundee United forward Jon Daly admits he would welcome a move to Rangers in the summer.
Any potential deal would make him the first Catholic from the Republic of Ireland to sign for the Ibrox club and would also mean a drop down two divisions.
But the 30-year-old is hopeful of playing for Ally McCoist after the Gers boss made a huge impression on him during a recent Scottish Cup encounter between the sides.
He told the Daily Record: "It always stuck in my mind that, even though his team had lost and I'd scored one of the goals that beat them, Ally waited in the tunnel and shook the hand of every United player after the match.
"That made a big impression on me and increased my respect for Ally."
And regarding the historical aspect of any potential move to the club, he said: "It doesn't bother me. I've spoken to my family about Rangers' interest in me and there are no issues there for them to deal with so far as I'm concerned.
"Rangers have spoken to Dundee United and my agent has spoken to Ally. When I had my conversation with the manager it was purely about football and where he saw me playing. It had nothing to do with financial terms.
"Whatever happens I'll keep Dundee United in the loop because I've loved my time with the club. They're happy with that and if it's the right move for me it could happen before the end of the season.
"Rangers are a massive club. I'm flattered Ally is interested in me but I have left everything up to my agent."
